Kristin Ihnchak, Vice President | Equitable Planning

Kristin brings extensive experience in climate resilience and sustainability, land use, governance, and plan implementation to her leadership of Greenprint’s equitable planning practice. As an empathetic listener with a deep commitment to elevating local expertise, Kristin’s planning approach serves as the bridge between communities and Greenprint’s technical work. She excels at keeping the big picture in mind while executing on details, and is always ready to adapt based on changing conditions and new information. Her goal is to live into a spirit of stewardship, acting in service of community-defined priorities and seeking out opportunities for resident empowerment.

Kristin spent a decade working for Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) and has worked at the regional, county, municipal, and site scales, helping her develop a holistic and intersectional approach. She earned a Masters in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a B.A. in Political Science and Metropolitan Studies from Lake Forest College.

Kristin is based in Greenprint’s Chicago office.
