As a co-founder of the firm, April brings her expertise as a community organizer and educator to advocate for and develop community-centered, equitable approaches to the planning, design and implementation of climate resiliency solutions. She has over 20 years of experience working closely with residents and community-based organizations to augment their capacity to lead on environmental and social issues. 

Prior to founding Greenprint, April dedicated 13 years to building Interfaith America, a national nonprofit that inspires, equips and connects leaders and institutions to unlock the potential of America's religious diversity. She began her career as a grassroots community organizer and founded an organization dedicated to developing social entrepreneurship amongst Black and Latinx youth on Chicago's West Side. 

April earned her Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Carleton College and completed coursework towards her Master’s of Business Administration at Northwestern University focusing on social innovation. She is an Advisory Board member for the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure.
